Rubber dull on poor buying

Our Correspondent

KOTTAYAM, Oct. 25

RUBBER prices continued to rule flat on poor response from buyers. Dull trading continued on Friday also with moderate arrivals in the market.

Traders who were enthusiastic in covering purchases earlier did not show any interest in fresh buying as most of them had serviced orders on hand.

Tyre companies, by and large, kept off except a very few who procured the bare minimum to meet their immediate requirements. Buying has also weakened due to Diwali.

Sheet rubber RSS-4 was quoted at Rs 35.75 per kg on Friday and RSS-5 at Rs 34.50.Block rubber ISNR-20 remained steady at Rs 33.50.

Latex 60 per cent and ungraded rubber stayed flat at Rs 29 and Rs 32.75 respectively.
