Lifestyle Marketing - Strategy Chennai men care more for hair & skin Our Bureau
CHENNAI, Oct. 20 A LOT more men are going in for hair and skin treatment in Chennai than anywhere else in the country, according to Oscar Pereira, founder promoter of the Mumbai-based Cheryl's Cosmetics. Pereira, who is in the city for the launch of Cheryl's new range of skin and hair care treatments, said that his preliminary survey of Chennai showed there was an increased awareness about personal grooming. It was not just the women who went in for beauty treatment but large numbers of men in this metro were also regularly going for hair and skin care to salons. The traditional barber `salon' has also undergone a change, he said. The company's products are used for the treatment of various skin conditions and disorders ranging from pigmentation, acne, mature wrinkled skin to hair treatment for hair fall, dandruff and hair thinning, he said. The company also plans to start technical institutes to train beauticians, aestheticians, dermatologists, in the use of these products for the various treatments. It has two manufacturing units in Mumbai.
