RSH to retail New Balance athletic shoes

NEW DELHI, Oct. 15

THE second largest sports shoe company in the US, New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc, has tied up with Royal Sporting House (RSH) in India for retailing the New Balance (NB) range of athletic shoes through RSH's exclusive showrooms in Delhi and other metros. The Boston-based company has also entered into a partnership with Shoppers' Stop.

"The New Balance range of athletic shoes is popular worldwide for their fit and durability," Mr Martin Walter, Vice-President-International, New Balance, said in a statement here.

Currently, the products were being imported from China and Vietnam.To popularise the brand here, the company has started offering the NB range of products to "morning joggers and walkers" in certain parks in Delhi and Mumbai on a "free of cost" basis. The products are essentially targeted at the premium segment.
