THE Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has attained the status of a recognised professional institute of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).

A statement issued by ICAI said that members, who are in good standing and want to migrate to Uganda, can now acquire the membership of the ICPAU. A good standing status is established through a certificate granted by ICAI to its member. ICPAU is a full-member body of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and regulates the profession of accountancy in Uganda.
