THE French Ministry of Tourism has awarded the Medaille d' Or du Tourisme (Gold Medal of Tourism) to Inder Raj Ahluwalia, a reputed Indian travel and aviation journalist.

This unique and coveted honour is given to personalities who have contributed in a significant way to promoting France and strengthening bilateral relations.

The gold medal was awarded to Ahluwalia on September 30, 2002, by His Excellency Bernard de Montferrand, Ambassador of France, on behalf of his Government, at a specially hosted reception at the French Embassy in New Delhi.
