AgriFare 2002 to focus on Gujarat

MUMBAI, Sept. 26

AGRIFARE 2002, the second international convention and exhibition on agro and food processing technology, will be held in Ahmedabad from November 21.

According to the Chairman, AgriFare 2002, Mr Piruz Khambatta, the exhibition will focus on creating awareness of the potential in Gujarat of agriculture and value-added opportunities in food processing; creating a common platform for small industry and promoting the castor market, for which corporate support was required.

AgriFare is being organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in association with the Gujarat Government, the National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development, APEDA and the National Horticulture Board.

The fair would focus on developing a global business perspective, marketing, technology, regulations and certification, improving agricultural, creating sector-specific opportunities and promoting food retailing.
