FICCI in pact with German trade body

NEW DELHI, Sept. 24
THE Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Baden-Wurttemberg Agency for International Economic Co-operation - GWZ, have signed a memorandum of understanding recently with a view to promoting, improving and developing the economic relations and investment between the business communities in India and Baden-Wurttemberg.
The signing of this memorandum of understanding is to formalise a process of co-operation and understanding between FICCI and GWZ. FICCI and GWZ have agreed to maintain close and regular contacts. In addition to exchanging information and publications regularly of both parties and sharing of economic and business information to India and Baden-Wurttemberg, it is agreed that both parties shall provide information and services as requested by either party.
Further, the two have also agreed to offer mutual assistance in promoting the general understanding of the market and investment situation in their respective areas.
According to a FICCI release, this memorandum is valid for three years.
The Baden-Wurttemberg Agency for International Economic Co-operaiton - GWZ is the trade promotion agency of the State of Baden-Wurttemberg in the German South West.
