AP bars `outside' recording of film songs

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD, Sept. 24

RECORDING of film songs in Telugu films will now have to be mandatorily done in Andhra Pradesh. The Government has decided to withdraw the facility for the industry to undertake recordings in other States from November 1.

Also from that date, all film producers registered with the Andhra Pradesh State Film Television and Theatre Development Corporation Ltd have to utilise the recording theatre facilities in the State.

Announcing these measures, the Corporation said other production activities such as dubbing and remake of films in Telugu language would require prior permission for the use of the original sound track.

Also in case the final mixing needs to be done abroad, the Corporation's prior permission should be obtained.
