The Hindu Business Line : Dumping probe on ball bearings

THE Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry has initiated anti-dumping investigations on alleged dumping of ball bearings and related components from China, Poland, Romania and Russia.

FAG Bearings, NRB Bearings, SKF Bearings, National Engineering Industries and Tata Steel (Bearings division) had filed a petition seeking anti-dumping probe on imports of ball bearing and related components from these four countries, industry sources said.

These companies together accounted for more than 50 per cent of domestic production of ball bearings in the country. The period of investigation is from January 1 to March 31.
