BANGALORE, Sept. 12

BHARAT Earth Movers Ltd has launched two disaster-management equipment - - the radio control dozer and BE 300 hydraulic excavator - - with attachments like a combi-cutter, grappler and rock breaker.

Dr R. Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Union Government, rolled out these equipment from BEML's Bangalore complex here.

Developed in collaboration with Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), Ministry of Science and Technology, these equipment are specially built to work in quake-hit sites and disaster-affected places.
