FIEO confirms Lall termination

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, Aug. 27

THE Managing Committee of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has confirmed the termination of Mr Ranjit Lall from the post of Director-General of the federation.

The FIEO President had on August 14 issued a termination order to Mr Lall for "non-performance".

Mr Lall, who contended that his termination did not have the approval of the Managing Committee, challenged this order.

"The 182nd FIEO Managing Committee meet was held in Mumbai today. The meeting confirmed the termination of Mr Ranjit Lall, a decision that was taken by the President on August 14. The members at the meeting reposed full faith and confidence on the actions of the President", a FIEO statement said here.
