Central coffee team to visit Karnataka

BANGALORE: A Central team is expected to visit Karnataka on August 26 in connection with setting up a price stabilisation fund for coffee.

The team, which is visiting the State following an invitation from the Coffee Board, would meet the coffee growers' representatives at Chickmagalur to discuss price stabilisation measures. The Union Additional Finance Secretary, Mr Saptharishi, will head the Price Stabilisation Fund Committee, which consists of representatives from PMO, Industry, Finance and Commerce Ministries, Nabard and NCAER.
