Events Industry & Economy - Industry Associations Assocham to host CEOs' retreat in Agra Our Bureau
NEW DELHI, Aug. 19 AS many as 35 chief executive officers (CEOs) of Corporate India are to descend on Agra the city of the Taj for a three-day retreat beginning August 25 under the aegis of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham). "The retreat will give these CEOs an opportunity to sharpen their skills for enhancing their competitiveness and to make a success of their respective businesses. We think that an informal setting is perhaps the best way for learning from each other on what needs to be done to survive and succeed in a globalised business environment," the Assocham President, Mr K.K. Nohria, told presspersons here. The Assocham President also said that there had been a bit of upswing in a number of industrial sectors in the recent months. "We are a little more optimistic now than last year on the industrial production front, even though the enthusiasm has slackened due to the erratic monsoon," Mr Nohria said.
