KSTC posts Rs 32.25-cr profit

BANGALORE: The Karnataka State Transport Corporation (KSTC) has reported a profit of Rs 32.25 crore for the first four months of the current fiscal (April-July).

The corporation also surpassed its target of Rs 25.79 crore by over Rs 7 crore. This is 50 per cent more than the profit achieved by the Corporation last year. The Corporation, which managed to reduce revenue drainage by effecting reduction in cancellation of its fleet operation to 2.1 per cent from 2.8 per cent, plans to seek financial consultancies to conduct a performance audit to find ways to improve its earnings, according to a press release.
