Medicinal plant board seeks aid

BANGALORE: The Medicinal Plant Board constituted less than three months to promote research work is yet to get full support both, financial and administrative, to commence work.

Pleading for its proper status and assistance, Mr Balakrishna Gowda of the Department of Botany, College of Basic Science and Humanities of the Gandhi Krishi Vignan Kendra and member of the Medicinal Plant Board, said the Government should allot adequate funds and set up regulatory bodies to support and oversee research activities, quality control and management of raw materials.
