TRAVEL Corporation (India) Pvt Ltd (TCI), India's premier privately owned travel and tour organisation offering a wide range of travel and tour services in India and worldwide, is keen to ply the Arabian Gulf with its imminent cruise line operations in 2003.
This was discussed over the weekend at the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing's (DTCM) Head Office between TCI Director, Mr Adi J. Katgara, and DTCM Manager, Missions, Mr Hamad bin Mejren, according to a press release issued by DTCM on Sunday.
"Securing the support of major tour operators and travel agents has been an integral part of the DTCM's drive to build a broader marketing base in any market and TCI is one of the largest and oldest Indian travel agency with diversified business interests," said Mr bin Mejren. He noted that TCI handled a client roster of 2,50,000 last year including both inbound and outbound from India and represented major cruise lines.
Mr Katgara commented that his company would be commencing cruise operations from 2003 and was looking at plying through the Arabian Gulf region during the monsoon season.
