DD invites sponsored programmes

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, Aug 12

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Doordarshan has invited sponsored programmes for being telecast on its regional (Malayalam) channel.

Announcing this, an official spokesman said that the programmes called for would include serials, telefilms, programmes for children, youth and women, quiz, news-based and film-based programmes, musical programmes including musical albums, programmes on science, education and environmental protection, chat shows, game shows, morning programmes, documentaries and tele-strips running to not more than five minutes.

Applications for the above may be submitted for consideration by Doordarshan along with a full description of the thematic content of the programme, script for the first four episodes, bio-data and consent letter from the producer, director, cameraman and script writer, a processing fee of Rs 1,000 in the form of demand draft payable at New Delhi in the name of PBBCI, Doordarshan Commercial Service, and the pilot episode of the programme in beta tape.

In case of mega serials running into more than 260 episodes, four pilot episodes will have to be submitted.

Interested persons may send in their applications to the Director, Doordarshan Malayalam Channel, PB No 1, Doordarshan Kendra, Thiruvananthapuram-695043, so as to reach him by not later than 3 p.m. on October 10.
