Bajaj Pulsar sales cross 50,000-mark

MUMBAI, Aug. 9

BAJAJ Auto Ltd (BAL) today informed that sales of its premium bike, Bajaj Pulsar, has crossed 50,000 units. The bike was launched in November 2001.

The company was planning to ramp up production of the Pulsar to 20,000 units by October, an official statement said.

"Since its launch, the premium bike segment is witnessing a surge in volumes and Pulsar has consistently dominated the category, gradually accounting for nearly 70 per cent of this booming segment,'' the statement said on the Pulsar which is "gradually being seen as a flagship brand'' for BAL.
