SBH net rises 44 pc

HDERABAD: State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) has registered a growth of 44.22 per cent in net profit for the first quarter of current fiscal year ended June 30, 2002 on a marginal growth of 7.72 per cent in turnover.

According to the unaudited financial results taken on record by the SBH board, the bank achieved a total income of Rs 553.28 crore as against Rs 513.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year, gross profit of Rs 130.25 crore (Rs 109.94 crore) and a net profit of Rs 61.9 crore (Rs 42.92 crore).

In a press release here, the bank said its expenditure increased to Rs 423.03 crore from Rs 403.66 crore.
