Strategy Variety - Fashion Lakme Lever to roll out new line Our Bureau
Models Shivani Kapoor, Indrani Das Gupta and Yanna Gupta unveil Lakme India's theme for the forthcoming Fashion Week `Think brilliance - think Lakme' in the Capital on Wednesday. The theme is based on Lakme Lever's new cosmetic line Brilliance which will be rolled out soon.
NEW DELHI, Jul. 31. AS part of its `Think Brilliance - Think Lakme' theme for the forthcoming Fashion Week, Lakme Lever Ltd will roll out a new cosmetics line - Brilliance. Lakme Lever has a current share of 52 per cent of the Rs 250-crore colour cosmetics market. Announcing this at a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr Anil Chopra, Business Head, Lakme Lever Ltd, said in the approximately Rs 700-crore skin-care market, Lakme's market share averaged 7 per cent. The company also intends to introduce two additional skin-care products in the current year. According to Mr Chopra, the company has ruled out a re-entry in the fragrances market for the time being. "The presence of smuggled brands thriving in the market led us to pull out of this market," Mr Chopra said.
