BANGALORE, July 29

NEXT year's HospiMedica India meet, the annual trade fair for the medical equipment, supplies and diagnostics industry, will be held in Hyderabad.

The ninth edition of the fair is slated for February 14-16, 2003. It will have a FICCI-sponsored two-day Indian Health Congress and dwell on a policy framework for the medical equipment sector, its organiser CIDEX said on Monday.

CIDEX, a joint venture of German international trade show majors Messe Duesseldorf GmbH and Koeln (RPT Koeln) Messe International, expects the 2003 meet to be bigger than the February 2002 meet, which was held in the Capital.

It will be backed by Apollo Hospital , Hyderabad, said Mr Jagdish Thakur of CIDEX, Delhi. During September 10-12, Messe Duesseldorf is also holding this year's HospiMedica Asia in Singapore.
