Carrier Aircon plans to recast management

NEW DELHI, July 25

THE air-conditioner major, Carrier Aircon Ltd, has proposed appointment of Mr Neville Moos as its Vice-Chairman and Managing Director.

The company has also informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has changed its management structure and appointed Mr Moos, subject to the approval of shareholders and the Centre.

It further said that Mr R.E. Galli, Director, has resigned from the board of the company.

The company's net profit went up by 153.7 per cent to Rs 6.4 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2002 as against Rs 2.5 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2001.

Further, the total income (net of excise) stood at Rs 121.6 crore (Rs 118 crore).
