CII council meet on July 26

NEW DELHI, July 22

THE national council meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), scheduled to be held in Bangalore on July 26, will focus on the overall domestic economic scenario and dwell on the priorities for future development.

In a statement here, the chamber said the economic agenda to be discussed at the meeting would

include the various banking issues, implementation issues relating to value-added tax (VAT), corporate disclosures, physical infrastructure and labour reforms, among others.

An important agenda of the meeting would be to discuss the prospect of future economic development of Karnataka with the Chief Minister, Mr S.M. Krishna, who is scheduled to address the meeting.
