HYDERABAD, July 22 WHILE Idea Cellular Ltd, one of the three cellular operators in Andhra Pradesh along with Bharti's AirTel and Hutch, has launched attractive scratch card scheme for its Idea ChitChat subscribers, AirTel and ICICI have tied up to extend a re-charge facility at ICICI Bank's ATMs. Under one initiative, Idea Cellular is offering a whole range of prizes which include Tanishq gold coins of 50 gm each, 200 second prizes of Sonata watch and 100 third prizes of recharge cards worth Rs 300 each. These prizes are open to subscribers who pick up pre-paid cards worth Rs 199. The Vice-President of Idea Cellular, Mr Subbaraman Iyer, said, "Our objective is to create excitement around pre-paid products by giving consumers a chance to win attractive prizes by becoming our subscribers. The scheme is extremely transparent as subscribers will immediately know what they have won when they scratch the card." AirTel, ICICI Bank tie-up: AirTel, in association with the ICICI Bank, on Monday announced the launch of re-charge facility for the AirTel Magic pre-paid cards on ICICI Bank's ATM network in the twin cities. AirTel and ICICI Bank have launched similar service for the Magic card users in Delhi and Kolkata. This facility allows Magic card users with ICICI Bank accounts in Andhra Pradesh to re-charge their pre-paid mobile cards directly at any of the 90 ATMs of ICICI Bank spread across the State, at anytime of the day. The service thus eliminates the need to carry cash and seek retail outlet and allows easy recharging even at odd hours from ATMs. The Executive Director of ICICI Bank, Ms Chandana Kochhar, said, "The card topping module is another step in our endeavour to use technology to enhance customer convenience. This takes our ATMs a step closer to becoming a multi-utility platform and providing our customers round the clock banking and related solutions." The Chief Executive of Bharti Mobile, Andhra Pradesh, Mr Pawan Kapur, said, "This facility allows Magic customers to re-charge their cash cards at anytime of the day or night is another innovative combination of customer benefit and technological advancement."
