Dishnet-DSL launches VoIP

CHENNAI, July 19

DISHNET-DSL has launched "helloworld", its Internet telephony card. The VoIP card will be available from Rs 100 onwards and goes up to Rs 10,000.

The higher end product is targeted towards bulk and corporate users, says a company release. The VoIP cards will be available from Friday across the country through its 34 PoP (points of presence) locations covering over 200 cities and towns, and over 2000 outlets.

The ``helloworld'' comes with built-in Internet connectivity to facilitate anytime, anywhere access. A subscriber will dial the number 172341, with login name as ``helloworld'' and password as "DishnetDSL", to reach dialhelloworld.com, says the release.

``With this facility the company has neutralised the effect of a hostile market trend of major ISPs trying to block the VoIP service of the competitor,'' the company has said in the release. With ``helloworld'' card, one can make international calls from anywhere in the country, the company has said.

The company would offer its DSL customers by giving Rs 6,000 worth of VoIP time at the rate of Rs 1,000 every month for the next six months to all the buyers of DishnetDSL's Optima DSL plan, says the release.
