Seminar on food safety norms

Our Bureau

MUMBAI: Pest Control India (PCI) is to conduct a series of food safety training seminars in association with the American Institute of Baking (AIB), a US-based food safety auditing company.

The meetings will be held during July 22-24 in Mumbai, July 25-27 in Delhi, August 5-7 in Chennai, and August 8-10 in Bangalore. The seminars will focus on globally recognised food safety norms.

According to a press release, India's share of the world trade in processed foods and vegetables was insignificant. Most of the small and medium foods processing units are ignorant about the internationally accepted principles of food safety and the food safety rules of importing countries.
