Airlines Marketing - Promotions & Offers IA cuts economy class fares on South sector Our Bureau
CHENNAI, July 2 INDIAN Airlines has reduced its economy class fares on the Chennai-Bangalore-Chennai and the Chennai - Kochi-Chennai sectors. According to a release, the promotional fare is valid from July 1 to September 30. The one-way economy class fare on the Chennai-Bangalore sector will now be Rs 2,055 against the earlier fare of Rs 2,490 and on the Chennai-Kochi sector it will be Rs 3,170 instead of Rs 3,910. The airline has also introduced a new short-term promotional scheme `Bharat Darshan' from July 1. Under this scheme an individual who undertakes travel on domestic network of Indian Airlines and Alliance Air from July 1 to October 31 for the value of Rs 1 lakh inclusive of the inland air travel tax, passenger service fee and insurance surcharge will be offered one free economy class Bharat Darshan award ticket. If the journey taken is to the value of Rs 1.25 lakh, the passenger gets one executive class Bharat Darshan award ticket, the release stated. The scheme is available with a special offer for the Indian Airlines-American Express co-brand cardholders. The Bharat Darshan award tickets are valid for unlimited travel for seven days on Indian Airlines and Alliance Air domestic network (Leh and Port Blair and sectors operated by Dornier aircraft).
