Mavoor co-op bank bags NCDC award

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, June 25

MAVOOR Service Co-operative Bank Ltd in Kozhikode district has bagged the award of the National Co-operative Development Corporation (NCDC) for the best primary co-operative in Kerala.

The bank is among 26 primary-level co-operatives from various States in the country which have been selected for the NCDC award.

The bank has a total of 7,679 members who have contributed 87 per cent of the bank's equity. The main activities of the bank include disbursement of agricultural credit, distribution of inputs such as fertilisers and procurement and marketing of coconut, copra, consumer articles and LPG.
