Software QuEST sees potential in diagnostic services Our Bureau
COIMBATORE, June 19 THE Bangalore-based QuEST (Quality Engineering and Software Technology Pvt Ltd) is looking at providing diagnostic services such as the condition monitoring for power generation systems. In the pilot phase, the company has installed the condition monitoring service in two sugar units. ``We see a great need in this space, particularly in the sugar units which generate power,'' Dr Ajay Prabhu, Vice-President, Strategic Business Units, QuEST, told mediapersons. Dr Prabhu was here to inaugurate the CADAM (Centre for Advanced Design and Manufacturing) centre at the Dr Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology at Pollachi near Coimbatore. Stating that the QuEST CADAM centre was the first of its kind in Tamil Nadu and the third in the country, he said that the company proposed to establish a similar centre at IIT, Mumbai. ``We are talking with IIT, Mumbai. We are very choosy about selecting the educational institutes for setting up the CADAM centre. At the same time, we would like to make a conscious geographic diversification,'' he added.
