Foreign Trade Thailand invites investments in education, IT Our Bureau
NEW DELHI, June 17 THE Ambassador of Thailand to India, Mr Bandhit Sotipalalit, has urged the Indian business community to invest in his country through joint ventures in diverse sectors including information technology, medium-sized industry, educational institutions, tourism, textiles and clothing, among others. The Ambassador felt that the free trade area between India and Thailand as proposed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries would not only strengthen the economic relations between the two countries but also help in other ways. The Ambassador was addressing a seminar on `India and Thailand: Trade and investment opportunities,' organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here on Monday. Further, the Ambassador said that Thailand was working in various projects to bring India closer not only to Thailand but also to the other South-East Asian countries.
