Karnataka: Bids for highway project soon

BANGALORE: The Government will call for global tenders for a project to improve State highways network.

The World Bank-funded project involves rehabilitation of some 22,000 km of roads. The Public Works Department recently finalised the national bids, according to the Public Works Minister, Mr Dharam Singh. Tenders have been awarded for 830 km, he said.
