Kerala: Nabard funds for watershed treatment

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned Rs 2.97 crore from its Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for soil and water conservation treatment in four watersheds.

These watersheds are in Idukki, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta and Thrissur districts, an official spokesman said. With this, the total Nabard disbursements to Kerala for various projects move up to Rs 857.44 crore in the current year.
