Kerala: Rs 2.7 cr sanctioned for tribal housing

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Government has sanctioned Rs 2.70 crore for building houses for tribals in the State.

Thiruvananthapuram district gets Rs 25 lakh, while Kottayam gets Rs 10 lakh. The Malappuram and Kollam districts get Rs 20 lakh each, while the Idukki, Kannur, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kasaragod districts have been allocated Rs 15 lakh each.

While Palakkad district has been given Rs 30 lakh, the Vaithiri, Sultan's Battery and Mananthavadi taluks in Wayanad district have been given separate allocation of Rs 20 lakh each.
