Events Tie festival in Bangalore Our Bureau
Customers looking at ties displayed at Planet Fashion in Bangalore on Tuesday.
BANGALORE, June 4 MADURA Garments, along with Planet Fashion, a menswear store chain in Bangalore, is organising a `Tie Festival' displaying over 5,000 ties through the month of June. The range covers several themes such as Fun Ties, Cartoon Ties, Club Ties, Sports Ties, including Football Ties. For the premium customer, there's the Swarovsky range with crystals embedded on the ties, the Sun Sign Ties, the Shibori collection which is the Japanese version of the tie and dye art form. Also available are limited editions of ties from Donna Karan, DKNY, Yves St Laurent, etc. Tie consultants are available at the stores to guide the customer in choosing his tie. Speaking at the inauguration of the festival, Mr Prakash Nedungadi, President, Madura Garments, said, "The festival will be taken across India after our Bangalore launch, showcasing this exemplary fashion accessory for the boardroom, dinners and special occasions.'' The Tie Festival will be on at Planet Fashion stores at Commercial Street, Residency Road, Indira Nagar and Jayanagar. The festival will run from June 5 to June 30, 2002. The price range starts from Rs 199 for the basic solids to Rs 2,399 for the exclusive international designer labels.
