Quality award from BIS

Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has invited applications for the Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Award for the year 2001 to recognise and encourage Indian manufacturing and service organisations to strive for excellence and to accord special recognition to those who are considered to be the leaders of quality movement in India.

Application forms are available from the Sales Counter, BIS, 9, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi, 110002 on cash payment of Rs 200 or by Demand Draft/Pay Order. They can also be obtained by post on payment of Rs 250 by DD payable at New Delhi in favour of BIS.

The form can also be downloaded from the BIS Web site, www.bis.org.in, but an additional amount of Rs 200 is required to be submitted along with the application fee. Completed application forms along with the prescribed fee should reach the BIS Director-General latest by July 1.
