Security to oil, gas installations

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, May 25

THE Union Government have taken steps to provide adequate security to oil and gas installations both on-shore and off-shore, an official statement said here on Saturday.

The security for on-shore pipelines is provided by the owner oil companies with the help of their own security staff and by the CISF who guard the installations and undertake the necessary patrolling.

Remote surveillance systems are also used for monitoring security of sensitive installations.

The security to off-shore pipelines is provided by the Coast Guard in coordination with security forces.
