MUMBAI: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) will replace ICICI Ltd with Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) in its S&P CNX Nifty index from May 31.

Polaris Software Lab will replace VSNL in the CNX Nifty Junior index subsequently, the NSE release said.

The changes were necessitated following the merger of ICICI with ICICI Bank Ltd for which ICICI Bank fixed June 7 as record date, the NSE statement added.
