Tyre exports of ATMA member cos rise 6.03 pc

NEW DELHI, May 23

TYRE exports by member companies of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA) touched a level of Rs 883.26 crore during fiscal 2001-02, reflecting an increase of 6.03 per cent to the export level of Rs 833 crore registered by them during the previous fiscal.

Industry sources maintained that the export performance of the ATMA member companies has been good during fiscal 2001-02. The automotive tyre sector had recorded exports of Rs 951 crore during fiscal 2000-01, including exports of Rs 118 crore by non-ATMA members.
