RIL hikes prices

MUMBAI, May 2

RELIANCE Industries Ltd (RIL) has hiked the prices of polymer and fibre intermediates with effect from May 1, 2002.

Polyester staple fibre prices are up 9.4 per cent to Rs 52.25 per kg (Rs 47.75), polyethylene terephthalate is up 6.2 per cent to Rs 60 per kg (Rs 56.50) while partially oriented yarn is up 12.9 per cent to Rs 63.82 per kg (Rs 56.55). Fibre intermediate product polyethylene terephthalate is up 16.4 per cent to Rs 33.30 per kg (Rs 28.60) while mono ethylene glycol is up 16.5 per cent to Rs 30 per kg (Rs 25.75). Polyvinyl chloride prices are up 7.3 per cent to Rs 44.10 per kg (Rs 41.10). Polyethylene and polypropylene remain at Rs 43 per kg and Rs 44.25 per kg (Rs 39.25).
