Hind Motors to accept booking for Pajero soon

NEW DELHI, May 1

HINDUSTAN Motors Ltd will soon start accepting bookings for the Mitsubishi Pajero utility vehicle, which has been cleared for introduction by the Automobile Research Association of India, according to company officials said.The C.K.-Birla-promoted company is planning to price the 3.2-litre utility vehicle at about Rs 34 lakh.

The Pajero would be sold in a 60-day delivery period, they said. Hindustan Motors recently secured clearance from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board for launching the Mitsubishi Lancer with a more powerful and compact 1.8-litre engine provided by its technical collaborator, Japan's Mitsubishi Motors Corp.
