TVS Electronics profit down 56 pc

CHENNAI: The city-based TVS Electronics Ltd has reported a 56 per cent drop in net profit to Rs 47 lakh for the quarter ended March 31, 2002, compared to Rs 1.08 crore during the same quarter last year.

Net sales/income from operations dropped by 23 per cent to Rs 48.54 crore (Rs 63.84 crore).

Total expenditure for the quarter ended March 31, 2002 dropped by 25 per cent to Rs 44.90 (Rs 60.01 crore), interest was Rs 2.34 crore (Rs 1.66 crore).
