NBCC plans projects in Iran, CIS

NEW DELHI, April 21

STATE-OWNED National Buildings Construction Corp Ltd (NBCC) may take up urban infrastructure projects in Iran and some countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). NBCC could also facilitate in identifying projects of mutual interest between India and Iran and take up works in the areas of urban infrastructure, low-cost housing and new township construction.

During a recent visit of the Minister for Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation, Mr Ananth Kumar, to Iran, the two nations had agreed to explore the possibilities of sharing their common experience in metro transport systems.
