AP: Scheme to promote agri-clinics

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: The Union Agriculture Minister, Mr Ajit Singh, will launch the Centre's scheme aimed at promoting the setting up of agri-clinics and agri-business centres at the National Institute of Agriculture Extension Management on Friday.

The scheme facilitates agricultural graduates to set up their own consultancy services to serve the farming community in villages on payment basis.

Nabard is extending a soft loan up to Rs 10 lakh for agri-entrepreneurs who have to undergo a two-month training to set up agri-clinics and agri-business centre. Mr Ajit Singh would also formally inaugurate the new academic building of the institute on that day. — Our Bureau
