AP: Power supply interrupted

HYDERABAD: Due to heavy gales and hailstorm in Karimnagar district on Monday night, two towers of 132 kV Durshed-Husnabad line have collapsed and two others have been damaged causing interruption to power supply to areas fed by Husnabad and Huzurabad sub-stations.

In addition, 280 poles of 33 kV, 11 kV and low tension have fallen in Chikatimamidi area. Repair work has been in progress and alternate power supply provided wherever possible. Normalcy is expected to be restored by Wednesday, according to a release of the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd.
