Security Corporate - New Projects Mahindra-BT teams up with VeriSign for lab Our Bureau
MUMBAI, April 2 MAHINDRA-BRITISH Telecom, a joint venture between the Mahindra group and British Telecommunications, UK, has set up an Information Assurance Laboratory at its Mumbai centre, teaming up with VeriSign Inc, a certification services company. The centre would address security and trust solutions at a global level, said a news release from the company. The laboratory will shortly commence a third party certification service to test and certify the inter-operability of VeriSign's partner products with VeriSign's Managed Public Key Infrastructure service. The laboratory would also develop expertise in areas of architecture, design and development of applications and simulate secure enterprise and Internet architectures on which the commercially deployed Internet infrastructure of companies would based, said the release. In addition, the laboratory will assist product vendors to evaluate their products against standards. MBT has employs 2,300 software professionals. MBT Enterprise Security Consulting was set up in April last to provide specialised security services in the telecom, finance, insurance, healthcareand defence industries.
