View tower for Hyderabad proposed

HYDERABAD: A view tower of more than 200 metres in height consisting of a revolving restaurant, telecommunication facilities, a shopping mall and others is proposed to be built as tourist attraction in Hyderabad.
Efforts are on to locate a suitable site, with private sector participation as a tourist attraction said Mr. C. Anjaneya Reddy, CMD of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, here.
Mr Reddy who took part in the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) along with the Minister for Tourism, Mr T. Srinivas Yadav, and the Secretary of Tourism Department, Ms Chandana Khan, told presspersons that a group of tourism operators in Europe had been invited to the State to see the various tourist spots and highlight the same in their countries.
He said the State had taken up with the Centre the issue of uniform motor vehicles tax in all States as it could lessen fares and facilitate more people to travel to different places.
