Promoting Kannada in border areas

BANGALORE: The Border Area Study Report has recommended the setting up of a Border Area Education Directorate to foster the growth of Kannada language and education.

The report has also favoured a special allocation in the State and Zilla Panchayat Budgets and compulsory special grant for the comprehensive development of border areas in the State.
