Stock Markets Info-Tech - Software Narayana Murthy sells 2.5 pc stake in Infosys Our Bureau
MUMBAI, March 15 THE Infosys Technologies Chief Mentor, Mr Narayana Murthy has sold 15,000 shares (2.58 per cent of his holdings). In a notice to the NSE, the software major said that Mr Murthy's holdings in Infosys had come down from 5,79,400 shares to 5,64,400 shares. These shares were sold on March 8. The exact value of these shares was not known; but based on the closing price of Rs 4,225.75 the day these shares were sold, the deal would be worth around Rs 6.33 crore. Mr Srinath Datni, Director, Infosys, also sold 500 shares of the company on March 12. His holdings in the company had come down from 77,400 shares to 76,900 shares. Infosys today closed at Rs 3,994.90 on the NSE, down from yesterday's close of Rs 4,039.85.
