Govt move on SSI subsidy dues

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Government has decided to pay Rs 200 crore out of the total of Rs 346-crore subsidy dues to the small-scale industries in bonds. The decision was announced by the Minister for Small-Scale Industry, Mr S.R. Kashappanavar.

The Minister said the Government did not have funds to pay the subsidy in cash. The Karnataka State Financial Corporation was working out details of the scheme to pay the arrears, he added.
