New Products & Services NIIT's EKS suite to fetch $30 m Our Bureau
NEW DELHI, March 13 NIIT has launched a suite of enterprise knowledge solutions (EKS) for businesses worldwide, which the company says, will generate revenue of $30 million over the next three years. ``We've already had three clients for the EKS solutions, including Microsoft in the US and Bharti here,'' said Mr Ashish Basu, Head, Knowledge Solutions Business of NIIT, at a press conference. NIIT's EKS suite comprises software products, solutions and even content. The company was targeting large corporates in sectors such as fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), insurance, banking, technology, oil and pharmaceuticals, Mr Basu said. EKS addresses areas such as product launch, process dissemination, product support and induction, thereby helping organisations to improve employee productivity. According to Mr Rajendra S. Pawar, Chairman of NIIT, the company would leverage its alliance with Click2learn, a US-based developer of e-learning technologies, to provide the EKS. NIIT claimed that its deployment of EKS for training in the US had been `rewarding for users' since the cost of customer training was reduced by almost 30 per cent. With bandwidth availability in the country expected to increase, NIIT said the domestic market would account for 10-15 per cent of the projected $30 million from EKS business.
